Position: Power BI Developer

Location: Austin, TX (Onsite - Local Preferred)

Duration: Long term contract

Note: Looking for Permanent / Visa Independent Consultants

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Power BI Developer with 12+ years of experience to design, develop, and support BI solutions. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, along with experience in the banking/financial domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI
  • Build and optimize data models, ensuring performance, scalability, and accuracy
  • Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources including SQL databases, APIs, and cloud platforms
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions
  • Optimize report performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability
  • Integrate Power BI with enterprise systems such as Azure, SQL Server, and data warehouses
  • Support regulatory and financial reporting requirements within the banking domain
  • Work closely with data engineers and architects to ensure seamless data integration
  • Lead BI initiatives, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices

Required Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience in BI/Data Analytics with at least 7+ years in Power BI
  • Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power Query, and DAX
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.)
  • Hands-on experience with data modeling (star schema, snowflake schema)
  • Experience in ETL processes and data integration
  • Strong understanding of banking/financial domain (risk, compliance, reporting, etc.)
