This posting will establish and maintain a pool of part-time lecturers with experience teaching Interdisciplinary Studies Related courses in designated fields of the discipline, which may include specializations in areas such as Health Humanities, Humanities, Religious Studies, Social Justice, Sustainability, Women and Gender Studies, or another interdisciplinary studies related field for the Interdisciplinary Studies Program in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver. By submitting your application, you will become part of an applicant pool. Candidates hired from this pool will fill temporary, non-tenure track positions and will teach no more than twocourses per semester. Appointments will be part-time (less than 50%) and will be made semester-by-semester, depending on the needs of the department and subject to budgetary approval. Therefore, this posting does not necessarily reflect a current open position. The Department of Political Science will contact you if there is an opening that suits your qualifications.

Lecturer
What you will do:
    Teach up to two courses per semester on an as needed basis.

Qualifications you already possess (Minimum Qualifications)
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
    Master's degree or PhD in Interdisciplinary Studies or related field

Preferred Qualification to possess (Preferred Qualifications)
    Previous teaching experience
    PhD or ABD in Interdisciplinary Studies or related field

    Ability to effectively listen and share relevant information.
    Ability to establish and respond to, as well as, balance multiple work priorities, follow through, and meet established deadlines.

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $1,704 per credit hour (undergraduate level), or $1,849 per credit hour (graduate level).  
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on number of credit hours and whether it is graduate or undergraduate.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
