Job Title: Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift & Weekends

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled 2nd shift Maintenance technician to join our Maintenance team. The role is designed for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and expertise in maintaining complex machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Work with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
  • Conduct welding, fabrication, machining, and equipment modification.
  • Maintain injection molding equipment, conveyors, presses, robotics, and assembly systems.
  • Utilize CMMS software for maintenance tracking, work orders, and inventory management.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and workplace safety procedures.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively within a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Skills

  • 2-5 years of direct experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and workplace safety procedures.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with PLC programming.
  • Robotics programming skills.

Work Environment

Our facility supports the automotive industry in the upper Ohio region, producing headliners, door trim, and bodyside parts with foam manufacturing capabilities. The plant spans over 352,000 square feet and includes injection mold presses from 100 to 3000 tons. Employees wear uniforms consisting of cotton shirts and jeans, and steel-toed shoes are reimbursed. The environment is clean, climate-controlled, and emphasizes safety.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Upper Sandusky, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $38.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
