Job description

Grand Canyon University! One of Arizona's leading institutions of higher learning. Located in the Valley of the Sun in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona. GCU is an institutionally accredited, private, nondenominational Christian University.
The College of Arts & Media is seeking temporary support our growing departments through a variety of design related tasks, such as the following: Social Media, Print & Web Design, and Motion Graphics. Either animated or designing for.
What you will do:
  • Office support for our adjunct faculty.
  • Peer to peer tutoring for students in DDN and ADV courses.
  • Oversight and support of our student clubs.
  • Design and production of marketing and communications products, including social media, posters and flyers, and photography.
  • Inventory control of supplies and materials for all classes.
  • Direct preparation of supplies and materials for our Sculpture classes.
  • Classroom support including organizing, cleaning, and materials preparation.
  • Meet with and tour prospective students through our program.
  • Assist in general departmental needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need:
  • Recent graduate from GCU College of Arts and Media
  • Bachelors in Digital Film, Digital Design, Social Media Design, Advertising or Graphic Design.
  • The ideal candidate is a design recent graduate with skills in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop, design, drawing, and typography, and Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • A person who can handle multiple tasks at one time, who can manage themselves and their schedule and can present a positive attitude while representing our department.
  • Must successfully pass a background check.
  • Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
