Property Maintenance Technician
This position is temporary with the opportunity to be hired on full-time
Location
Gary, IN
Pay Rate
$18-21/hr
Shift/Schedule
7:00am - 3:30pm, training from 9:00am - 5:00pm
Overtime / Weekends as needed
Position Summary
Integrity Trade Services is seeking an experienced property maintenance technician for a commercial property
Responsibilities
  • Perform routine property maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep.
  • Complete landscaping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, weed removal, planting, mulching, and seasonal cleanup.
  • Maintain lawns, landscaping beds, trees, shrubs, and exterior areas.
  • Perform interior and exterior painting, including surface preparation, priming, patching, and touch-up work.
  • Perform general construction and remodeling tasks such as drywall installation and repair, framing, flooring, trim work, and basic carpentry.
  • Repair or replace doors, windows, fixtures, hardware, and other property components as needed.
  • Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs when qualified and permitted.
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify maintenance issues, damage, and potential repair needs.
  • Assist with building renovations, property improvements, and construction projects.
  • Operate hand tools, power tools, lawn equipment, and other maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly store tools and materials.
  • Remove debris, trash, and unwanted materials from properties and work sites.
  • Perform seasonal maintenance, including snow/ice removal, leaf cleanup, and preparation of properties for changing weather conditions.
  • Respond to maintenance requests and complete assigned work in a timely manner.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance work and materials used.
  • Follow established safety procedures and applicable building and property maintenance standards.
  • Communicate maintenance issues and recommended repairs to supervisors or property management.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, landscaping, or a related field preferred.
  • General knowledge of painting, carpentry, drywall, landscaping, and building maintenance.
  • Ability to use common hand and power tools.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • Valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
