Staff AccountantJob SummaryThis is a dynamic and challenging Staff Accountant position offering an opportunity for professional growth within a fast-paced environment. You will play a vital role in supporting the accounting and finance department by contributing to critical financial processes, including monthly closes, quarterly financial reporting, tax reporting, and assisting with both internal and external audits. Job Responsibilities Support the close and consolidation of Nidec Minster and its US and foreign subsidiaries, including preparing necessary journal entries, preparing monthly account reconciliations, and preparing supporting schedules.Review intercompany activity and partner with locations to reconcile intercompany balances monthly.Assist in the maintenance of fixed asset records, including tracking costs of construction projects in progress, and performing asset observations.Perform ad hoc accounting duties as needed for cost accounting, AR and AP.Compile and analyze financial data for required federal, state, and local tax reporting.Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.Research and interpret accounting data as part of required analysis and in response to inquiries.Consistently evaluate business processes to identify and implement process improvements with existing and new systems and technology.Collaborate with Accounting and Finance team members and other members of the organization on various internal and cross-functional projects.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting1-2 years post-graduate and/or internship experience in a similar role, preferably with some experience in a manufacturing environmentMust be detail-oriented, extremely accurate and have exceptional organizational skillsProficient in Microsoft Office, with intermediate Excel skillsSelf-starter with high performance standardsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsEffective communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred, but not required:Modern global ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, etc.)Familiarity with IFRS accounting regulationsAn equal opportunity/affirmative action employer, M/F/D/VNidec Minster will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States.
