Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting clients with frame selection, lens options, and optical products.
  • Utilize knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy to accurately interpret prescriptions and ensure proper fittings.
  • Conduct retail sales transactions, including processing payments and managing inventory.
  • Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Accurate prescription fulfillment and patient satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education & Certification: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited opticianry program preferred.
  • Experience: Familiarity with optical products.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in interpreting and understanding prescriptions. Ability to take accurate eye measurements (pupil distance, segment height, etc.). Experience with lens fitting and adjustment techniques.
  • Customer Service Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor. Ability to educate and assist clients in selecting appropriate eyewear options.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous in maintaining accurate records and managing inventory. Ensures precision in measurements and fittings.
  • Knowledge of Insurance: Familiarity with VSP and EyeMed.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in a fast-paced environment. Willingness to assist with various tasks and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues related to eyewear fittings and repairs.
