Job description

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Job Description

This role involves more than simply operating a machine. The CNC Machine Operator will be responsible for setting up the machine, performing tool changes and tear downs, and reading micrometers and calipers. You will interpret blueprints and drawings to create parts and inspect them to ensure they are flawless. While minor maintenance is part of the role, training will be provided for those unfamiliar with these tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC machines, including mills and lathes.
  • Perform tool changes and tear downs.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Inspect parts to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Perform minor maintenance on machines, with training available as needed.

Essential Skills

  • 1+ years of experience setting up machines (Mill or Lathe).
  • 1+ years of performing tool changes on Mills or Lathes.
  • 1+ years of CNC operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading measuring instruments, specifically micrometers and calipers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Experience with machine maintenance.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
