Job description

Our client is interviewing for a highly detail-oriented Warehouse Quality Checker to ensure the accuracy of all outgoing orders. Candidates will act as the final line of defense, manually auditing orders against paper packing slips to catch picking errors. Since many inventory parts look identical and share the same size, this role requires exceptional visual acuity and concentration. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced, high stress environment without relying on automated scanning tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Manual Order Auditing: Audit picked orders using paper packing slips only; no RF scanners or automated tools are used.

• Error Detection: Identify and correct part discrepancies, incorrect quantities, and mixing errors made during the picking process.

• Small-Part Inspection: Read, verify, and match small, highly similar part numbers on identical-looking items.

• Documentation & Data Entry: Maintain accurate quality logs and enter daily audit metrics into computer systems.

• Team Communication: Provide clear, constructive feedback to warehouse pickers and supervisors regarding order accuracy and recurring errors.

Requirements

• Proven Experience: 2 to 3 years of demonstrated, verifiable experience specifically in a quality checking or quality inspection role.

• Advanced Visual Acuity: Exceptional ability to differentiate between highly similar parts and spot minute differences.

• High-Stress Resilience: Proven ability to maintain accuracy, focus, and composure under tight deadlines and peak volumes.

• Paper-Based Literacy: Experience accurately tracking, reading, and checking off items using physical packing documents.

• Computer Literacy: Proficient in Microsoft Office platforms (Word, Excel, Outlook) for manual data entry and reporting.

• Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written skills to report defects and collaborate with the warehouse team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for long periods.

• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.

• High dexterity required to handle, sort, and inspect small parts.

Benefits
• Competitive hourly rate
• Growth Potential: Opportunity for a pay increase upon successful conversion from temporary to full-time status.
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
• Overtime: Mandatory overtime and occasional Saturday shifts may be required based on business needs.
