Job Description

We are seeking Cable Technicians to support data center and commercial cabling projects. This role is ideal for technicians with experience pulling fiber, terminating Cat6, and supporting network infrastructure installations. Candidates should be hardworking, dependable, and comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor construction environments.

What You'll Do

• Pull and route fiber optic and copper cabling throughout commercial and data center environments

• Terminate Cat6 cabling and support network connectivity installations

• Install cable tray, wireway, buss duct, and other cable support infrastructure

• Build telecommunications closets, including racks, patch panels, cross-connects, and hardware installations

• Install grounding for racks, equipment, and cabling as required

• Terminate patch panels and perform IDC connections, including 110 and 66 blocks

• Read and follow blueprints, specifications, and project drawings

• Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Maintain quality standards and follow all safety requirements on site

What You Bring

• At least 1 year of commercial cabling experience

• Experience pulling fiber optic cabling

• Experience with Cat6 terminations and structured cabling systems

• Reliable transportation to and from job sites

• Ability to interpret blueprints and installation documents

• Knowledge of telecommunications color codes

• Experience using common cabling and construction tools

• Strong work ethic and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with network equipment installations

• Experience building IDF/MDF closets

• Data center experience

• Familiarity with grounding and bonding practices

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $25.00/hr.
