Job Summary The EEG Technician performs EEGs, Nerve Conduction Studies, EMGs, and related exams, providing essential support in the diagnosis of neurological conditions. This role assists physicians with preliminary reports and interpretation and is responsible for department physician billing. The EEG Technician ensures a professional, friendly environment within the department and is available to assist in other areas as needed. Key Responsibilities Perform EEGs, Nerve Conduction Studies, EMGs, and related exams independently. Assist physicians with preliminary reports and support them during the interpretation of results. Handle physician billing accurately for procedures performed within the department. Collaborate with department staff and assist in other tasks as needed, maintaining a helpful and positive attitude. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience performing EEGs in a clinical setting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Preferred Qualifications Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or one year of career-oriented college credits (24 credit hours). 1 year of experience with EKG/Stress testing in a clinical setting.
