Position Overview

Marathon Petroleum Company is seeking a Warehouse Manager to lead warehouse operations at its Salt Lake City Refinery. This role is responsible for building a best-in-class warehouse operation that supports refinery reliability, maintenance efficiency, and supply chain excellence, while aligning material management strategies to business priorities.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides oversight in the execution of daily warehouse operations, including the handling of goods receipts, goods issues, picklists, cycle counting, stock put away, logistics, and quality control/assurance.
  • Coordinates contract employees responsible for the handling and processing materials and supplies, ensuring that the expected standards of job performance and safety are met where sites require.
  • Collaborates with the Supply Chain Operations Materials Management group for material master creations/updates/deletions, daily Materials Requirement Planning (MRP), cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
  • Provides guidance on local material management activities including cycle counting, obsolete/surplus material management, repairs/refurbishments, and running reports.
  • Maintains high Health, Environment, Safety & Security (HES&S) standards; leads and participates in activities supporting HES&S commitments.
  • Ensures compliance with Company policies, procedures, guidelines and requirements related to warehousing and inventory control.
  • Optimizes and maintains facilities (warehouses, laydown yards, chemical/catalyst storage, turnaround (TAR), temporary storage areas, offsite storage sites); ensures stationary and mobile equipment are maintained and replaced as necessary.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Four (4) or more years of warehousing, Supply Chain, or business relevant experience.
