Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Correspondent Quality Auditor to support the review and purchase of residential mortgage loans. This role is responsible for auditing loan files, validating data accuracy, and ensuring compliance with federal regulations, investor guidelines, and internal quality standards. The ideal candidate has mortgage industry experience, strong attention to detail, and a solid understanding of mortgage compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and audit correspondent mortgage loan files prior to purchase.
  • Verify compliance with TRID, RESPA, investor requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review loan disclosures and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform detailed data entry and validate loan information within compliance systems.
  • Identify and resolve documentation errors, compliance concerns, and file discrepancies.
  • Conduct risk assessments to identify errors, omissions, and potential fraud indicators.
  • Document findings and escalate high-risk issues when necessary.
  • Ensure loan files meet internal quality standards and investor requirements.
  • Input and maintain loan data within electronic compliance software platforms.
  • Recommend process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce operational errors.
  • Collaborate with team members to support quality control and compliance initiatives.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
