JOB SUMMARY: Assists in a variety of functions under the direction of supervisors, including general maintenance, grounds, painting, moving, carpentry, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other duties in support of District-wide operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others, take direction from appropriate supervisors.
  • Must be able to work an eight-hour shift, five days a week.
  • Must have the physical ability to perform a wide variety of assigned duties.
  • Good health and character - Negative TB test required.
  • Familiar with safety precautions and the use of power tools, lawn equipment, and other power type equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and provide own transportation to various sites throughout the district.
  • Must provide a high school diploma or GED equivalent, if requested.
  • Must act professional and respectful, and perform duties in a manner that is conducive to providing an appropriate learning environment for staff and students.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those encountered while performing the essential functions of this job. Work is performed inside and outside; the outside environment includes exposure to inclement weather, heat and humidity. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at times. Ability to climb in overhead structures (no fear of heights), to work beneath machines and in close quarters performing repair work; stand for long periods and good physical strength and stamina.
PAY SCALE AND BENEFIT DISCLOSURE:
  • Pay Rate: $15.00 - $16.00 Per Hour (pending position)
  • Benefits: No Benefits Offered
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Generally, the work week will be 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with scheduled breaks. Dates will be from late spring through summer, actual days to be determined by the Facility Operations Department. Additional dates may include the school district's fall and spring breaks, as needed.
