Postdoctoral position within the Department of Mechanical Engineering at The University of Texas at Dallas in grid integration of renewable energy. The position will focus on renewable forecasting, numerical weather prediction, machine learning, power system operations with high penetrations of renewables and distributed energy resources.
Minimum Education and Experience

Ph.D in a related field.

Preferred Education and Experience
Experience with one or several of the following would be beneficial: probabilistic forecasting, machine learning, statistics, grid integration of renewable energy, integrated energy systems. Good programming skills and familiar with one or more of the following tools: Python, MATLAB/Simulink, R, OpenDSS, CPLEX, GAMS, Gurobi, PSS/E.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Duties to include, but not limited to designing experiments, conducting research, and writing articles. Research in grid integration of renewable energy, renewable forecasting, integrated energy systems, network resilience. Work with industry and academic collaborators on related research projects, as directed by advisor. Report research results as journal and conference publications. Identify new sources of funding and participate in the preparation of proposals as required.
