Pay Range: $25.00-30.00 per hour
Work Schedule: Onsite, Monday through Friday
Join Our Team as a CNC Machinist (Lathe) – Precision, Innovation, and Expertise Needed!

Are you passionate about manufacturing precision parts and skilled with CNC lathe machines? We are seeking a dedicated CNC Machinist (Lathe) to set the standard for quality and efficiency in our fast-paced shop environment. If you thrive on technical challenge, detail-oriented work, and continuous learning, this is your chance to elevate your career with a dynamic team that values craftsmanship and safety.

What You’ll Do:

  • Review and interpret job specifications for turned parts, ensuring adherence to drawings and traveler instructions.
  • Program and operate advanced lathe machinery, including Haas Turn Mill and Mazak models, to produce high-quality components.
  • Set up equipment, perform secondary operations (deburring, grinding, drilling/tapping), and adjust controls to maintain tight tolerances.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and engineering staff to address concerns and recommend necessary supplies.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, participate in safety procedures, and assist in other operational tasks as needed.
  • Enhance your skills through ongoing training in conversational programming and other educational opportunities, ensuring your expertise remains current.

Required Skills:

  • Proven experience with CNC turning equipment, with a minimum of 1+ years in a shop environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and use simple gaging tools such as calipers and tape measures.
  • Proficiency in operating Haas Turn Mill and Mazak lathes.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality assurance, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good manual dexterity and physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • Solid math skills, including working in decimals and metric measurements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
  • Basic shop tool knowledge, including drills, hammers, and sanders.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with secondary operations like grinding or tapping.
  • Familiarity with conversational programming and TMA classes.
  • Ability to work with Star Clip machines.
  • Previous experience working in a team-oriented manufacturing setting.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience working with CNC turning equipment in a manufacturing environment.

Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled shop environment.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and moving materials as required.
