Job Title: Telecommunications BIM & Revit Specialist
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications BIM Specialist to join our integrated design team. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, management, and coordination of complex Revit models for large-scale telecommunications and data center projects. Working alongside multidisciplinary leads, you will translate senior design intent into fully coordinated, clash-free 3D models and high-quality 2D construction deliverables. This is an opportunity to showcase your Revit expertise in a high-velocity environment where precision, cross-discipline integration, and organizational excellence are the standard.
Key Responsibilities
• BIM Model Management: Lead the setup and daily management of Revit BIM models, ensuring alignment with both internal and client-specific modeling standards.
• Multi-Disciplinary Coordination: Utilize Navisworks to create and manage fully coordinated 3D models across all design disciplines (Structural, MEP, Security, and ICT). Identify and resolve clashes to ensure constructible deliverables.
• Technical Documentation: Create detailed 2D construction drawings and 3D content. Maintain a keen eye for detail when translating markups into technical designs.
• Systems Design Integration: Incorporate wiring and cabling connections, circuit links, and device equipment into the digital model, ensuring a basic understanding of signal flow and connectivity.
• Resource Estimation: Analyze project markups and verbal directions to provide accurate estimations of hours required for design and modeling efforts.
• Collaborative Design: Work closely with architects, engineers, and discipline leads to ensure the digital twin accurately reflects the project's design and construction specifications.
Qualifications & Requirements
• Experience: * Minimum of 3 years of BIM design experience.
• At least 3 years specifically within the Telecommunications or ICT construction industry.
• Technical Mastery:
• High proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and Navisworks.
• Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar markup/review software.
• Basic understanding of telecommunications cabling, device links, and equipment connectivity.
• Industry Knowledge:
• A growing understanding of the codes, standards, and specifications that shape design decisions in the telecom sector.
• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Soft Skills: Effective written/verbal communication and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Credentials
• Specialized knowledge of Data Center environments.
• Experience modeling paging, intercom, and audio-visual (AV) systems.
• Familiarity with Life Safety systems (Fire Alarm) and Security systems (Access Control, CCTV).
