Overview
The , in the School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) at Providence College (also referred to as "the College" or "PC"), seeks to fill a clinical assistant professor position to begin in the Fall 2027 (i.e., August) semester. We are seeking applicants with teaching and/or clinical practice experience across the broad health sciences and health careers continuum. Areas of particular interest include applied nutrition, health administration, and/or health communications. The successful candidate will have primary teaching responsibilities serving undergraduate students in the health sciences, nursing, and related majors preparing for health-related careers. Successful candidates will also have the opportunity to participate in the department's team-taught senior seminar in health sciences and develop and teach advanced elective courses in their area of interest and specialization. Department, college, and professional service contributions are required according to the college's expectations of non-tenure track, clinical faculty.
This is an exciting and historic opportunity to join PC's newly established School of Nursing and Health Sciences and shape an innovative, interdisciplinary curriculum for the next generation of students entering nursing and other health professions. The 153,000 sq. ft state-of-the-art Ben Mondor Center for Nursing and Health Sciences houses the School of Nursing and Health Sciences' existing and future undergraduate and graduate programs. This one-of-a-kind facility opened in January 2025 and features the latest classroom design and technologies and showcase expansive clinical simulation and research facilities, including a human performance laboratory and environmental chamber. The department features classrooms/labs for teaching microbiology for the health professions and anatomy and physiology using virtual cadavers. A student career education and advising center, along with conference and meeting space, is included as part of the inspiring resources intended for the next generation of healthcare providers, faculty, and staff.

The salary range for this position is between $78,000-$82,000.
Duties and Responsibilities
This tenure-track faculty position will report to the Chair of the Department of Health Sciences. Primary teaching responsibilities will be at the undergraduate level and will include the development, implementation and assessment of curriculum, student advising, service to the college.
Education and Experience
Master's or doctoral degree in a health-related discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated expertise in nutrition, population or community health, healthcare systems, and/or health policy.
