Job description


Be part of a team that applies its expertise and knowledge to develop, implement, and maintain methods and processes in manufacturing or fabricating parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies. Using your technical expertise, you will estimate manufacturing costs, determine time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements of new or existing product lines. You will add value and expertise to the business by sustaining support and identifying cost reduction and yield improvement opportunities.
Solve problems where analysis of a situation is required in order to meet the requirements of the customer. Uses problem analysis to help in developing new process and procedures. Provide analysis of data in support of product and process improvements and/or quality improvements. Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
You will report directly to our Manufacturing Engineering Manager, and you'll work out of our Woonsocket, Rhode Island location 100% onsite schedule.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with various functional teams
  • New Product Introduction and new product line integration
  • Plan, lead, and execute projects
  • Develop new techniques and analytical tools
  • Technical support for disassembly, inspection, repair, assembly, and testing of products
  • Development, test system improvements, and implementation of standardized processes.
  • Identify work-scoping opportunities to improve business performance relating to reliability, quality, process turn time, first pass yield, cost, productivity, and warranty claims.
  • Identify and strive to implement cost-reduction initiatives
  • Partner with our customers to identify and execute actions, that solve problems for our customers and drive future growth opportunities.
  • Operate as a team member in Continuous Improvement, Six Sigma, and Honeywell Operating System (HOS)
  • Travel up to 5%

Qualifications
You Must Have:
  • 2+ years of experience in Manufacturing and Design engineering experience

We Value:
  • Bachelor's degree preferred; Electrical/Mechanical/Manufacturing/Process Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • Experience in process/ manufacturing engineering.
  • Direct experience of implementing 6/lean methodologies and techniques to promote a continuous improvement culture.
  • Working knowledge of SAP MRP and Teamcenter PLM Software.
  • Experience using CAD / 3d modeling software.
  • Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
