Job description

The Fulfillment Supervisor is responsible for leading all hand assembly and mailing operations that cannot be machine produced. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and managing logistics for all hand assembly and mailing projects. The Fulfillment Supervisor will supervise both Heeter employees and work with temporary labor agencies to flex temporary labor as needed.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
  • Oversee all non-machinable finishing processes, including hand assembly, labeling, manual sorting, stamping, sealing, packaging, and any other specialized tasks.
  • Build realistic job samples to create time trials for job estimating based on information provided by EPIX
  • Collaborate with the scheduling team to forecast temporary labor and friends and family needs
  • Manage and organize inventory of hand assembly materials
  • Work with customer service and EPIX to ensure all materials needed to complete a job are available at the time of production
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials to maintain quality and avoid damage
  • Develop and implement efficient workflows for hand assembly processes
  • Continuously evaluate processes and make recommendations for improvements to reduce errors, increase productivity, and maintain high-quality standards
  • Conduct regular inspections of finished products, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company and industry standards
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including data privacy laws and mailing regulations
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any operational issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the non-machinable items are completed and integrated into the overall production or shipping process.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provide structure within custom manufacturing process when job requirements and specifications require different techniques and approaches within a short timeframe.
  • Maintain a clean work area and ensure proper disposal or storage of leftover job materials
  • Implement and enforce safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
  • Monitor use of equipment and ensure it is maintained and repaired as needed

Requirements
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Demonstrate the ability to convey instructions to small and large groups of temps with varying degrees of experience, skills and needs of the individual to create group performance.
  • Effectively utilize job tickets to confirm the required specifications for each job. You will be required to follow written and oral directions and apply creative solutions.
  • Basic proficiency in using software and computer systems needed to perform the role: Internet, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), General office equipment and management information systems (Pace).
  • Demonstrate basic math skills and the ability to distinguish between colors and read small print.
  • Be able to perform all duties at an accelerated pace while still producing top quality.
  • Mechanical inclination with basic math and capability to convert fractural measurements to decimal.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in learning new aspects of the job, new equipment, new processes and scheduling: start times/overtime.
  • Ability to perform in a fast paced, team environment demonstrating cooperation, problem solving, customer service, creativity, flexibility and team building skills.

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
  • High school diploma, general education degree (GED), or equivalent

MINIMUM YEARS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
