Job Summary
Xavier University of Louisiana is accepting applications for the position of Postdoctoral Research Scientist. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to advancing sodium-ion battery research by developing and characterizing composite cathode-catholyte polymer materials, functionalizing polymer surfaces, and studying their physical and electrochemical properties. AA/EOE
Minimum Qualifications
Ph.D. In Chemistry, Materials Science, or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Expertise in sodium-ion batteries
  • Polymer electrolyte synthesis
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation, including impedance spectroscopy.
  • Proficiency in microscopy techniques like SEM and TEM
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
