Job description

You don’t mind having lots of different responsibilities - in fact, you thrive on it! Frequent cash handling is BIG on the agenda! You really enjoy administrative responsibilities, you don’t mind a busy, changing workday, and you really have a knack for helping customers. While there is desk time, this job keeps you moving regularly. And even though you may get interrupted a lot with requests, you also get the chance to work with some happy winners!


***This is an onsite TEMPORARY role - 6 to 8 weeks assignment***


Responsibilities:

  • Validate and process lottery prize claims by verifying player eligibility, age, and identity using secure verification tools and IRS TIN matching systems.
  • Prepare, approve, and distribute prize payments via checks or prepaid debit cards, ensuring compliance with Lottery and IRS standards.
  • Manage cash handling operations, including balancing drawers, daily deposits, and reconciliation of claims activity.
  • Maintain accurate and complete claim documentation, ensuring secure storage of sensitive winner information and adherence to audit policies.
  • Respond to player inquiries and concerns with professionalism, empathy, and accuracy, ensuring an engaging and positive claimant experience.
  • Monitor and balance instant ticket inventory, ticket vending machines, and SCIQ systems, ensuring efficient claims center operations.

Requirements:

  • High school/GED and 1 year of experience in customer service, cash handling, or operating in an office environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in cash handling, reconciliation, and recordkeeping.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on customer engagement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to analyze information, solve problems, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Skilled in multitasking, prioritization, and maintaining professionalism under pressure


Hiring Range: $17 - 20/hr
