Ketjen is seeking an I/E Technician to join our maintenance team. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting and repairing Instrument/Electrical Equipment

Essential experience

  • Use of test equipment (DVM, megger, loop calibrator, temp calibrator, amp meter and HART communicator)

  • Read electrical/instrument schematics/loop diagrams

  • Read P&ID drawings

  • Temperature measurement (RTD's thermocouples),

  • Pressure measurement (all types).

  • Flow measurement (Magnetic flow, Coriolis, DP).

  • Level measurement (DP, ultrasonic, radar & Nuclear).

  • Conductivity measurement

  • Density measurement (Coriolis and Nuclear)

  • PH measurement, control, and theory

  • Automatic control valves - rebuilding of valves. (Fisher, Masoneilan)

  • Valves positioners - electronic & pneumatic. (Fisher, Masoneilan, PMV)

  • Experience with gas fired BMS systems (Honeywell, fireye & others)

  • 480V and greater MCCs and switchgear

  • VFD's- Troubleshooting, wiring, and programing (ABB, AB & Yaskawa)

The candidate will meet the following qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of National Electrical Codes, IEEE & ISA Standards, and Electrical Safety in the workplace (NFPA 70E)

  • Must be self-motivated and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to interface effectively with wide range of technical, analytical, and managerial personnel.

  • Ability to lead execution of work and resolve technical and operational issues in a cross-functional team environment.

  • Experience using MS Excel, Word

  • Working knowledge of PLC and DCS systems

  • Experience with SAP preferred.

Experience/Education

  • HS Diploma or GED

  • 3-5 years' minimum experience as a E/I technicianin an industrial environment
