Job description

Work Direction: The Temporary Reprographics Specialist works under the direction of the Multimedia and External Communications Project Manager.

Basic Function: The Temporary Reprographics Specialist receives all copy/print work from the Multimedia and External Communications Project Manager, logs work received, generates weekly reports, runs all printing and copy machines, inspects all work during duplication/printing for top quality, trains new employees on all equipment, ensures completion of weekly bulletin printing, folds, and places in a designated space for pick up. The Temporary Reprographics Specialist also maintains equipment and notifies the Multimedia and External Communications Project Manager when service is needed. Additionally, the Temporary Reprographics Specialist always maintains an office atmosphere of courtesy and professionalism and ensures the department is clean and organized at all times.

  • Ensures the day-to-day needs of the Reprographics Department are met and maintains records of all print/copy work order forms.

  • Operates all copy machines, Booklet Makers, and all other office equipment. Handles/processes color print jobs to meet specifications. Prints all types of church envelopes, in-house stationery, new member and visitor packets, weekly bulletins, and other print work including color jobs, as needed.

The Temporary Reprographics Specialist also closes out work order forms for delivery to ministries/departments.

  • Implements and oversees a quality control check system for all print and copy work in the Reprographics Department during printing and before delivery.

  • Cleans and provides routine maintenance of all printing machines. Prepares order forms for all copy aids, ink, paper, toner, etc., and submits them to the Multimedia and External Communications Project Manager, as needed.

**Essential (E) or Non-Essential (N) Duties/Responsibilities

Requirements: This position requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, knowledge of the operations of various types of print machines and aids. Five (5) to Six (6) years' experience in printing or a related field or lead supervisory experience. The incumbent must also possess the ability to work with others and understand the importance of producing quality work. The incumbent must possess a willingness to learn how to use all machinery. The incumbent must possess a high level of sensitivity and commitment to the job, a love for Church work and serving the people, excellent communication skills, and the desire to grow with this Church as it grows.

Work Schedule: The Temporary Reprographics Specialist will receive requests to complete projects and will be assigned work schedules in accordance with the needs of the department and TUCC.
