Job description

PrideStaff is seeking a dedicated and reliable Sit-Down Forklift Operator / Labeler for a well-known and respected manufacturing client in the Romeoville, Illinois area. In this role, you will be a crucial part of their packaging and logistics process, ensuring that all products are accurately labeled and prepared for shipment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a strong team player, and committed to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.
2nd shift: 1pm-9:15pm (+OT as needed)

** will have to train on 1st shift for the first 1-2 weeks (5am-1:15pm)**
Pay: $19.50 per hr


Key Responsibilities:

  • Labeling and Packaging: Precisely apply labels to products, cartons, and packages to ensure all items are accurately prepared for shipment.
  • Material Handling: Prepare and stage work areas, handle and move materials, and assist with loading and unloading trucks using a Sit-Down Forklift.
  • Equipment Assistance: Assist with the setup and operation of various packaging machinery, including tape machines
  • Work Area Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace by consistently following all safety rules and procedures.
  • Quality Control: Inspect products and labels to ensure they meet company standards and are free from damage or defects.


Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous and thorough, with a keen eye for accurate label placement and product quality.
  • Teamwork: Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Basic Skills: Competency in basic math and English reading to accurately follow orders and instructions.
  • Physical Stamina: The ability to lift and move materials, with the capacity to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Flexibility: A willingness to be adaptable with work schedules and available for overtime as needed.
