Summary Statement

This position provides nursing and oversight of residents' nursing needs during trips, community outing activities, and in-house activities including, but not limited to, direct nursing care, assessments, and coordination of health care services for the residents. Responsibilities include supervising, providing, evaluating, and assisting with care and treatments by direct care staff and activities staff. In addition, this position will have regular contact with residents, families, nursing staff, physicians, dietary, pharmacy, administration, and other ancillary departments of the facility.\r\n

Conditions of Hire

All new hires are required to attend an in-person, statewide mandatory New Employee Orientation on their first day of employment. The session will be held at a designated location in either Kent or New Castle County.\r\n\r\nA satisfactory criminal background check is required and must be covered by the applicant, with an estimated cost of $85.00. Pre-employment drug testing is also required. Additionally, all new hires are required to complete a 2-Step TB/PPD test, which will be administered on their first day at the facility. \r\n\r\nThis position is a classification organized under an exclusive bargaining representative (labor organization) that has been elected by employees as their representative for collective bargaining and other applicable terms and conditions of employment, in accordance with Title 29, Chapter 59 and Title 19, Chapter 13 and 16. This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement based on its individual terms.\r\n\r\nApplicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
