RN - Operating Room Manager

Schedule / Job Type

Full-Time | Direct Hire | Onsite | Monday – Friday, Days (starting as early as 6:30 AM with flexibility based on team needs) | 24/7 managerial accountability

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations of a multi-suite operating room environment, including main OR suites, a cystoscopy room, and a minor procedure room
  • Lead and support a surgical nursing team comprised of RNs and scrub techs across a variety of surgical specialties
  • Provide managerial oversight and 24/7 accountability for OR operations, utilizing established escalation pathways as needed
  • Assume charge RN responsibilities in emergent staffing situations such as multiple call-offs or unplanned case demands
  • Support the integration and ongoing operations of a hybrid OR and robotic surgical program
  • Supervise nursing team leads and charge RNs, fostering a culture of clinical excellence and staff development
Required Qualifications
  • Active RN license or RN license in process of transfer to Illinois (must currently hold or have held an RN license in another state)
  • Current BLS certification
  • Hands-on experience as a circulator in an operating room setting
  • Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a managerial, team lead, or charge RN capacity
  • OR experience in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center environment
Preferred Experience / Skills
  • Experience across multiple surgical specialties including Gynecology, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Spine, Ophthalmology, or Vascular
  • Familiarity with robotic surgical systems or hybrid OR environments
  • Prior experience managing or coordinating high-volume surgical caseloads
