Job description

Cash Compensation range: $586,100 - $623,000

Hiring Bonus: $50,000


Northwest Permanente (NWP) is the largest multispecialty medical group in Oregon and southwest Washington with 1,500+ physicians and 300+ administrative professionals caring for 615,000+ Kaiser Permanente members. Northwest Permanente is owned and led by physicians who earn competitive salaries, without income based on providing individual services. Our medical group comprises board-certified physicians across 50+ specialties.


 
We invite applications for a Board Certified or Eligible Cardiologist with sub-specialty training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. Our new partner will join a team of 24 Cardiologists for a mixed practice of advanced heart failure (MCS, heart transplant, shock) with general cardiology.  

What You Can Expect:
  • An advanced heart failure team, including four advanced heart failure boarded cardiologists, one transplant coordinator, two LVAD coordinators and a social worker.
  • A multidisciplinary team, including cardiothoracic surgery, structural and interventional cardiology, electrophysiology and pulmonary critical care. 
  • A temporary MCS and DT LVAD implanting center (no ECMO at this time).
  • Sustained growth in an established LVAD program at Sunnyside Medical Center (one of the only two LVAD programs in the KP system).
  • Completely internalized transplant patient care within 8-10 weeks, based on complexity.  Collaboration within Kaiser Permanente's National Transplant Services and external Centers of Excellence. 
  • Cath lab procedural opportunities, including right heart catheterization with vasoreactivity challenge and endomyocardial biopsies, with optional TEE coverage if interested.
  • An advanced heart failure call and inpatient service rotation one week per month, including a mix of heart failure and general cardiology call, with night call limited to advanced heart failure. 
Minimum Requirements
  • American board certified or eligible in Cardiovascular Disease and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology

Current hiring incentives for this role: 

  • $50,000 Hiring bonus
  • $15,000 Relocation

The annual salary for this position is $501,100 - $538,800 with cash compensation ranging from $501,100 - $623,000, which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and certifications, training, market data, extra shift compensation, call compensation and other relevant factors. In addition to the salary range above, NWP offers rich benefits that add substantial value to the total compensation package.
