Job Title Grounds Temp - PT Hourly - Pooled Job Description
To work with the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds in maintaining all physical facilities of the college.
Job Duties
1. To help clean filters
2. To help with all repair work
3. To help maintain small air units
4. To help maintain the campus grounds
a. Cut grass
b. Use weed eater
c. Sweep grounds
d. Mow, clean, trim, water plants
e. Use edger
5. To help maintain the campus buildings
a. Clean bathrooms
b. Vacuum carpets
c. Mop floors
d. Wipe and clean furniture
e. Wax floors
6. To help paint
7. To help with the carpentry work
8. To help maintain college vehicles
a. Wash
b. Vacuum
c. Gas-up
9. To help with moving furniture
10. To help wash the exterior of the buildings
11. To help with any plumbing work needed
12. To help with mail delivery
13. To help with receiving and delivery
14. To perform any other duties as assigned by the Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds
Mandatory Qualifications
(M1) High School Diploma or High School Equivalency.
(M2) Demonstrated competency in the use of lawn maintenance equipment (i.e. lawn mowers, weeds eaters and trimmers).
(M3) Must be able to lift, stand/walk, twist, push and pull for 67-100% of the time.
(M4) Must be able to routinely lift loads of 20 to 50 pounds.
(M5) Active and valid driver's license required.
(M6) Driver's licenses must remain in good standing at all times while employed.
(M7) Ability to work over head, with and without ladders, for an extended period for time in an outdoor environment.
Desirable Qualifications
(D1) Prior experience in the landscape maintenance arena.
(D2) Prior experience working in an outdoor environment.
