We are seeking a Full-Stack Java Developer to join our team. This role will involve developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise applications supporting the  Project Development and Maintenance programs. The ideal candidate will have experience in Java full-stack development, Spring-based frameworks, front-end technologies, and Agile development practices, along with a passion for building scalable and user-friendly enterprise applications.


Job Title: Full-Stack Java Developer
Location: Lansing, Michigan (Hybrid – Onsite 2 days/week, no remote-only option)
Duration: 1 Year Contract (Extension likely)
Job Description

The Full-Stack Java Developer will work closely with project managers, application owners, and development teams in an Agile environment to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions. This role requires strong experience with Java back-end development along with exposure to front-end technologies to build responsive applications.

The selected candidate will also collaborate with UI/UX team members to develop modern, intuitive interfaces while ensuring application performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers, application owners, and developers to design, develop, test, and deploy application code.
  • Participate in Agile development processes including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and code reviews.
  • Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring frameworks, and front-end technologies.
  • Work with UI/UX teams to build responsive and user-friendly web applications.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code following industry best practices.
  • Conduct unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Assist with application deployment, documentation, and ongoing maintenance.
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience programming complex systems using Java and IDE tools such as Eclipse or JBoss Developer Studio.
  • 2+ years of experience developing application user interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • 2+ years of experience working with the Spring Framework.
  • 2+ years of experience with JPA or Hibernate.
  • 2+ years of experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with Spring Boot, Spring Data, and Bootstrap.
  • 2+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS, and Data Tables.
  • 2+ years of experience with jQuery and jQuery UI.
  • 2+ years of experience with Oracle 12C or Oracle 19C.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with React.js.
  • Experience working in the JBOSS Enterprise Environment.
  • Experience with SQL and/or PL/SQL.
  • Experience with Log4j, JUnit, and Tiles.
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Jasper Reports, Crystal Reports, or Business Objects.
