The Aravo product development team places an emphasis on meaningful contribution by all members in a creative, collaborative and sustainable environment where opportunities for growth, leadership and recognition abound. The Platform Engineer will be building a highly configurable, multi-tenant enterprise class SaaS solution that incorporates cross-organizational collaborative workflows, data integration, and a rich user interface built on a complex data model. This role will work primarily on issues and enhancements coming from our support and services organizations.

Requirements
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building web-based enterprise Java applications
  • Comfortable with database modeling and concepts, with Oracle experience a plus
  • Familiarity with a wide variety of open source tools and libraries
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle, including a strong quality focus demonstrating success with design reviews, code reviews, & unit testing
  • Technical expertise building Java-based enterprise applications that are as robust as they are easy to use
  • Effective communications skills honed refining requirements and solving complex problems within a collaborative team environment
  • The capacity for viewing the big picture while consistently delivering product in a hands-on development position

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with full stack modern web application architecture in a commercial software development environment
  • Experience working in an agile software development methodology
  • Experience with distributed workflow systems
  • Experience debugging complex applications
  • Expertise with Java based web services
