Department: Rosen House
Supervisor: Director of Interpretation, Collection, and Archives
Employment Type: Part-Time, Non-Exempt, Temporary (Oct ‘26 – May ‘27; Approx. 500 hrs)
Compensation: $28 – $33 per hr
Together with the Director of Interpretation, Collection, and Archives, the Temporary Archivist will be responsible for reviewing the organization of the archive and making changes as needed; revising the processing standards for the RH archive using the PastPerfect database and improving records in the database; developing and creating a finding aid that can be shared with the general public; identifying and scanning key documents for use in projects, such as future Focus Tours. The Temporary Archivist will work closely with the Director to determine any archival storage needs and work to resolve these. 
A strong candidate will have some training and experience in archival processing. The work schedule may include flexible hours, generally two days per week, on site, to meet the needs of the organization. 
Duties & Responsibilities
•    Assist with re-organization Rosen House archive room; re-label boxes
•    Review and improve records (Scope and Contents descriptions) in PastPerfect database 
•    Create a finding aid for Rosen House Archive
•    Identify, scan, and link to PastPerfect key documents for forthcoming projects
Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Some experience or knowledge in archival processing through work or education preferred. Command of MS Office, Word and Excel. Ability to learn archival software. Experience with PastPerfect is a plus but not required. 
Communication Skills: Must have a friendly and professional attitude and work well with others both interpersonally and in written communication. 
Administrative Skills: Ability to maintain confidential information. Exceptional organization and attention to detail with a strong work ethic. Able to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Working Conditions: Must be able to work on-site and to safely ascend and descend stairs in an historical space as part of regular job duties. Ability to lift 25 lbs. occasionally. Authorization to work in the U.S. is required.
