Position Summary
The Mass Housing Youth Worker (Internship) is a participant in NNCC's Mass Housing Program who is placed at a community worksite to gain hands-on work experience while developing workplace readiness, professional skills, and career awareness. Under the guidance of worksite supervisors and NNCC staff, participants build transferable skills that support future education and employment success.

Workplace Experience
- Perform assigned duties and projects at the internship site in a professional and responsible manner.
- Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic.
- Follow worksite policies, safety procedures, and supervisor instructions.
- Maintain professional behavior and positive relationships with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
Career & Skill Development
- Develop workplace skills including communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and time management.
- Participate in career exploration, job readiness, and professional development activities.
- Apply skills learned through the Mass Housing Program to daily work assignments.
- Seek feedback and demonstrate a willingness to learn and improve.
Program Participation
- Participate in required NNCC meetings, workshops, and program activities.
- Maintain regular communication with NNCC staff regarding worksite progress.
- Complete required program documentation and timesheets accurately and on time.
- Represent NNCC professionally while participating in internship activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current participant in the NNCC Mass Housing Program.
- Between the ages of 14 and 24.
- Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop professional skills.
- Ability to work cooperatively with supervisors, coworkers, and peers.
- Commitment to regular attendance and active participation in the program.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed at community-based internship sites and NNCC program locations.
- Physical requirements vary based on the assigned worksite.
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform assigned worksite duties as required.
