Job description

SUMMARY
This position will be one of several bus drivers to support HCC activities. The position will cover mainly afternoons and evenings on weekdays, with some occasional weekend days. The number of hours per week will vary according to the needs of the College. Tuesday-Friday hours are in most demand.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

A. The HCC Bus Drivers report directly to and are responsible to the Director of Facilities


B. The HCC Bus Drivers coordinate most closely with facilities and various other internal departments.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
A. Major duties of this position

1. Safely operate a 45 passenger bus on public and private roads.


2. Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections.


3. Refuel bus.


4. Monitor loading, unloading, and transportation of passengers and cargo to ensure it is done in a safe manner.


5. Understand, implement, and adhere to HCC temporary employee handbook policies and applicable state and federal regulations.


6. Coordinate the details of the assigned trip, from dispatch to departure, with group leader or coach.


7. Must be able to perform all other duties as assigned.
