We have an immediate need to identify temporary personnel (surge) for all of the stated positions below. Candidates in all positions will be responsible for performing tasks in response to Presidentially declared disasters in support of a prime contract with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).  Training will be provided but candidates must be able to clear FEMA's background check in order to get a badge to work at the facility in Winchester, VA. At a minimum, all candidates must possess a High School Diploma and at least two years of relevant experience for the position being sought. Again, these are Temporary Positions. All candidates who are hired will not only be paid the agreed upon hourly rate but also a supplemental rate of $5.09 per hour worked up to 80 hours per week in lieu of benefits since this is a temporary position. Candidates will also be paid 8 hours for any federal holiday that occurs during their tenure with our company as well as accrue sick leave. Detailed position descriptions will be provided to interested candidates. A brief summary of duties and requirements are provided below for each position.
Temporary Accounting Clerks - Needed to assist in processing expense reports from inspectors at field sites who are assessing residential damages due to catastrophic events such as from hurricanes.Â
​Qualifications:
- Previous experience in accounting or other related fields
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work within a busy office environment
- Quick learner with positive and professional demeanor
- Functional software skills such as in using Microsoft Excel
Temporary Inspector Services Specialists- Some of the primary functions include daily interaction with inspectors via telephone, supporting continuing education, security requirements, and deployment administrative needs. Tasks and functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Being well versed in standard operating procedures on a daily basis
- Referring callers to the appropriate department to receive information and assistance
- Assisting in the maintenance of accurate records of inspectors through paper, electronic, and database files
- Serving as a contact point for inspectors’ inquiries regarding workshops, webinars, security requirements, deployment preparations, deployment opportunities, etc.
- Contacting inspectors and scheduling new and advanced training. Providing training information and reminders to attendees prior to scheduled time
- Utilizing internal databases and documenting successful contact as well as contact attempts via telephone and e-mail
Temporary General Clerks - Some of the primary functions include as follows:
Readiness (Before a Disaster Event) Providing on-going dialogue with inspectors regarding availability; Preparing reports for monitoring and analysis of both routine and quality control inspector production; Assisting in the testing of processes and technologies through all stages of development, sharing observations and feedback when appropriate.
Deployment (After a Disaster Event) Addressing daily inquiries from inspectors in the field on a variety of concerns or issues, reporting to and coordinating with production management when appropriate; analyzing report findings for production management and taking appropriate action on all inspector performance issues including, but not limited to quality and timeliness; assigning initial, Quality Control and other inspections as needed, using approved processes.
