Job Summary:
An HVAC Duct Installer is responsible for installing, assembling, modifying, and repairing sheet metal ductwork and HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role ensures proper airflow, system efficiency, and compliance with building codes and safety standards. 
Responsibilities: 
  • Install HVAC duct systems according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications
  • Measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal/Fiberglass ducts and fittings
  • Install flexible and rigid duct systems
  • Seal joints and seams to ensure proper airflow and energy efficiency
  • Install dampers, diffusers, grilles, and registers
  • Insulate ductwork to meet energy standards
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely
  • Follow all local building codes and safety regulations
  • Coordinate with HVAC technicians, project managers, and other trades
  • Inspect and test duct systems for leaks and proper airflow
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications: 
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in HVAC duct installation or sheet metal work (1–3+ years preferred)
  • Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems and airflow principles
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools
  • Physical ability to lift heavy materials (50+ lbs), climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Valid driver’s license
