DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position focuses on providing skilled nursing care to support patient treatment and recovery. You will work closely with patients and staff to ensure high quality care. As a Registered Nurse, you will perform the following duties:

  • Patient Assessment: Evaluate patient conditions, monitor changes, and respond with appropriate care
  • Care Planning: Develop and update treatment plans based on patient needs and nursing standards
  • Medical Procedures: Administer medications, perform treatments, and record patient reactions
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate care with interdisciplinary staff to support patient progress
  • Crisis Response: Apply approved techniques to address psychiatric or medical emergencies
  • Patient Support: Guide patients through daily activities and promote health education

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are:
    • 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM) with 30-minute lunch
    • 3rd shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with 30-minute lunch
  • Rotating schedule, work weekends and holidays as assigned.
  • Overtime and travel as needed.

  • Please Note: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $88,982.00 (before taxes).

QUALIFICATIONS
Necessary Special Requirements:

  • This position requires active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania.
  • All employees possessing an active temporary practice permit must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.

Other Requirements:
  • PA residency requirement is currently waived for this title.
  • If you are within 60 days of graduating from a school of nursing approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply for this job posting. At the time of appointment to a position, you must show proof of possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.
    • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
