Employment Type: Full-time Contract (Project-based, with long-term career pathway)
Reports To: Project Manager
Location: Lordstown, OH
Start Date: July 15, 2026
1. Overview

PSG is a fast-growing construction and infrastructure firm specializing in mission-critical environments. We are seeking a dependable, handsโ€‘on Site Worker Lead to join our team on a highโ€‘profile data center construction project in Lordstown, Ohio. This role combines practical supervision of general workers for temporary site facilities, comprehensive material and logistics management, team leadership, and daily operation of the project ERP system.
This role will initially support a 6โ€‘month data center construction project based in Lordstown, with a strong pipeline of followโ€‘on projects nationwide. This is not a shortโ€‘term assignment โ€” upon successful completion of the first project, you will transition directly to subsequent projects, offering longโ€‘term career stability and growth. The successful candidate will be a practical leader who thrives in a fastโ€‘paced construction environment, balancing field work with administrative responsibilities to ensure smooth project execution.
2. Duties

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of general construction workers in all tasks related to temporary facilities, including setup, maintenance, and eventual dismantling of site offices, material storage areas, worker welfare facilities, sanitation units, fencing/hoarding, temporary access roads, and basic utility connections.
  • Actively participate in and oversee general labor work for temporary facilities to ensure high quality, safety compliance, and timely completion according to project schedules and drawings.
  • Manage all materialโ€‘related activities: coordinate with procurement for timely delivery, perform receiving and quality inspection, maintain accurate inventory records, organize proper storage, and ensure efficient distribution of materials and tools to work fronts.
  • Perform daily operation of the project ERP system, including accurate data entry for labor attendance, productivity tracking, material consumption, stock levels, and progress updates. Generate operational reports and support management decisionโ€‘making with timely information.
  • Support recruitment efforts by identifying, screening, and onboarding additional general workers as project workload requires. Maintain positive team dynamics, discipline, and high morale among the workforce.
  • Champion site safety: lead daily toolbox talks, enforce PPE usage, conduct basic risk assessments for tasks, investigate nearโ€‘misses, and foster a strong safetyโ€‘first culture within the team.
  • Liaise effectively with project engineers, other trade supervisors, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve issues promptly and keep temporary facilities and material flows aligned with overall construction progress.
  • Maintain both digital (ERP) and physical records of labor, materials, inspections, and daily activities. Support audits and provide documentation for project handover and compliance.
3. Mustโ€‘Haves as the Site Worker Lead

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant construction site experience, including at least 2 years in a team leader, foreman, or supervisory role managing groups of general laborers on mediumโ€‘toโ€‘large projects.
  • Solid practical knowledge of material management: receiving procedures, inventory control, storage best practices, and justโ€‘inโ€‘time distribution on active construction sites.
  • Proven ability to use ERP or digital project management systems on a daily basis for data entry, inventory tracking, labor reporting, and generating basic operational reports.
  • Strong leadership and peopleโ€‘management skills โ€“ able to direct, motivate, train, and maintain discipline within a team while building a cooperative and productive work environment.
  • Good physical fitness and willingness to perform or closely supervise manual labor tasks outdoors in all weather conditions; comfortable working in a dynamic, dusty, and noisy construction site environment.
  • Thorough understanding of construction site safety standards and regulations โ€“ possession of a valid safety certificate or willingness to obtain one quickly.
  • Fluent Mandarin Chinese (essential for daily team communication and instructions).
  • Intermediate English skills (reading and writing) preferred for ERP use, documentation, and coordination with international project teams.
  • High school diploma, vocational training certificate, or equivalent in construction, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Reliable, punctual, and flexible with working hours โ€“ prepared to work overtime, weekends, and shifts as required by project milestones.
4. Niceโ€‘toโ€‘Haves as the Site Worker Lead

  • Previous experience working on hyperscale data center, semiconductor cleanroom, or other highโ€‘tech industrial construction projects.

  • Valid certifications for forklift, aerial work platform (scissor lift), or other relevant construction equipment.
  • Basic understanding of quality control processes and inspection checklists for temporary works.
  • Experience with SAP, Oracle, or similar construction ERPs is a significant advantage.
5. Benefits

  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company match.
  • Paid time off and holiday pay.
  • Opportunities for career advancement through a strong pipeline of nationwide projects โ€“ this role is a gateway to longโ€‘term employment with PSG.
  • Per diem or relocation assistance available for qualified candidates (subject to policy).
