Location: This is an on-site position based in Poughkeepsie, New York. Join a collaborative office environment where you'll work closely with attorneys, clients, lenders, and title companies to keep transactions moving efficiently.

Job Description

  • Assist attorneys with commercial and residential real estate transactions from contract through closing.
  • Prepare and review closing documents, deeds, transfer documents, and related real estate filings.
  • Coordinate with clients, lenders, title companies, brokers, and government agencies.
  • Order and review title reports, surveys, and payoff statements.
  • Maintain transaction files and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Prepare closing packages and assist with post-closing matters.
  • Conduct due diligence and gather necessary documents for transactions.
  • Communicate with clients and third parties to facilitate smooth and timely closings.
  • Support attorneys with administrative and transactional matters as needed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of real estate law experience.
  • Experience with residential and/or commercial real estate transactions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and client service skills.
  • Experience preparing closing documents and handling transaction coordination.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management systems.
