Job description

Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) in Cardiology

UW Health in northern Illinois seeks an Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA-C) to join the busy cardiology team at our UW Health Heart Institute on the SwedishAmerican Hospital campus in Rockford, Illinois.

We are looking for a dedicated candidate to provide our patients with high-quality care in a team-centered environment. The Advanced Practice Provider will be supported by our group as we continue to grow through new service lines and state-of-the-art procedures, including CardioMEMs and Watchman.

Our four-day work weeks encourage more work-life balance, while our stipend for rotating Saturday hospital rounding compensates you generously for your time on the weekend. Above all, we strive to embody our mission to care for our community through excellence in healthcare and compassionate service.

Your clinical support includes the follow:

  • Collaborating closely with our cardiology team, comprised of electrophysiologists and interventional, general, and invasive cardiologists.
  • Schedule: 4/10's (four ten-hour days a week)
  • Generous stipend for weekend and holiday hospital rounding
  • Blended inpatient and outpatient practice: providing care to patients in our Heart Institute Clinic and rounding on patients in our 350-bed hospital

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from accredited PA program or completion of a master's level advanced practice nurse program.
  • Active APRN or PA license in State of IL and active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
