Responsibilities:

As the Underground Network & Communications Technician, you'll be at the heart of supporting the network and communications systems that are vital for our operations. Working closely with the Underground Network and Communication Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintenance & Repair: You will handle maintenance duties for underground and surface networks and communications equipment, including fiber optic networks, wireless systems, Cisco switches, radios, and radio controls.
  • Project Support: Assist in developing and executing projects to enhance both short- and long-term mine plans.
  • Team Collaboration: Work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment, maintaining a focus on safety, communication, and efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Skills: Strong knowledge of network and communication repair, installation, and troubleshooting of complex underground systems.
  • Education: Formal education in network and/or communications (preferred).
  • Teamwork & Safety: A dedication to working within a team environment and maintaining a strong safety record is essential.
  • Desire to Learn: You should be eager to learn and apply new skills for repairing and maintaining mining equipment.
