Job Description: CNC Machinist | Grandville, MI Salary Range: $51,000 - $83,000 depending on experience Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for precision machining and producing high-quality parts? If there is alignment now or in the near future, we reach out. The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking CNC Machinists who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code to ensure accurate part production.
  • Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine operation, tooling, and programming.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on CNC equipment.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and technical drawings.
  • Demonstrated ability to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Strong understanding of G-code and M-code programming; experience with CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) preferred.
  • Experience with various measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to ensure part quality and adherence to specifications.
  • Knowledge of different materials, cutting tools, and machining parameters for optimal production.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks CAM) for program generation and simulation.
  • Strong understanding of GD&T principles and their application in manufacturing.
  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance and troubleshoot minor issues on CNC machinery.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment.
  • Experience with robotic automation or other advanced manufacturing technologies.
