About the Role:

The Manufacturing Engineer plays a critical role in optimizing and enhancing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient, high-quality production. This position focuses on programming, setting up, and maintaining machines to meet precise manufacturing specifications. The engineer will collaborate closely with production teams to develop and implement process improvements that reduce waste and increase throughput. They will also be responsible for creating detailed plan layouts and programming G-code to drive automated machining operations. Ultimately, this role ensures that manufacturing operations run smoothly, safely, and cost-effectively while meeting all quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience with CNC programming and setup, including G-code programming.
  • Hands-on experience with programming and operation.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and machining techniques.
  • Familiarity with plan layout design and manufacturing documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of advanced CNC machine controls and software.
  • Certification in manufacturing or CNC programming.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Ability to use CAD/CAM software for programming and process design.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, program, and optimize CNC machine operations using G-code and other programming languages.
  • Set up and calibrate CNC machines and water jet cutters to ensure accurate and efficient production runs.
  • Design and implement manufacturing process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Create detailed plan layouts and documentation to guide machining and assembly operations.
