Description

We are seeking a motivated Fire Alarm / Low Voltage Technician to support school renovation, fire alarm installation, and service projects throughout the Savannah area. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems in the field, and taking ownership of projects from start to finish.

The right candidate will have experience with low voltage systems and construction environments, but more importantly will have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to continuously learn and develop their technical skills. -Read blueprints, drawings, and device layouts to connect and commission systems.

-Coordinate with electricians, vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to keep projects moving forward.

-Identify field issues and proactively bring solutions rather than roadblocks.

-Manage assigned work independently while maintaining communication with supervisors and project managers.

-Support multiple renovation and upgrade projects as needed.

-Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company standards.

What We're Looking For

**Required

-Fire alarm installation or service experience.

-Experience with school, commercial, or institutional projects.

-Familiarity with fire alarm panels, devices, and system troubleshooting.

-Experience in low voltage systems, fire alarm systems, security systems, or related electrical work.

-Comfortable working on active construction and renovation sites.

-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

-Ability to read construction drawings and wiring diagrams.

-Experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.

-Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

-Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

-Strong communication skills and professional customer-facing attitude.

**Success in This Role

The top performers on this team are individuals who:

-Take initiative and actively invest in learning new skills.

-Come to challenges with solutions, not excuses.

-Have a "whatever it takes to get the job done" mentality.

-Can manage multiple projects and keep work moving forward without constant direction.

-Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and understand they have the authority to stop work when conditions are unsafe.

-Want to grow into a trusted lead technician and become a key member of the project team.

**Non-Negotiables

-Positive attitude.

-Reliability and dependability.

-Strong troubleshooting mindset.

-Ability to work independently.

-Willingness to learn and develop technical skills.

-Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites.
