Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Information Technology or a Master's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or a related field that includes a minimum of 18 hours of graduate work in Computer Science, or Information Technology. All degrees must come from regionally accredited institutions.
Strong consideration will be afforded to candidates who exhibit a demonstrated record of professional experience and success in undergraduate teaching. For positions that may include online teaching, candidates are expected to demonstrate an ability to successfully structure and implement a distance-education-based course.

Job Description
TThe Department of Mathematics and Computer Science invites applications for potential part-time or adjunct faculty openings in the following subject areas: Computer Programming Languages (Java) (on-campus), Data Structures, Digital Logic, Database Systems, Digital Forensics, Network Security, Web Security, and Game Design and Development.
These positions are especially suited for candidates who hold a terminal degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or who have completed a minimum of 18 hours of approved graduate coursework in a relevant Computer Science or Information Technology field. Excellence in teaching and learning within a rigorous and stimulating environment is a core value of The University of North Carolina at Pembroke. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science is strongly committed to undergraduate teaching, and part-time faculty are expected to meet and uphold departmental and university standards.
