Job description

Heavy Equipment Operator

Location: Lansing, MI

Pay: $25-$35/ HR

Operate Modern Equipment on High-Profile Construction Projects

Clark Companies is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our excavation and site development team. This position is responsible for operating equipment safely and efficiently on residential, commercial, and municipal projects throughout Mid-Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, loaders, dozers, skid steers, and other heavy equipment

• Perform excavation, grading, site preparation, and utility installation work

• Read grade stakes and site plans

• Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance

• Work closely with field crews and project supervisors

• Follow all company safety procedures

• Maintain productivity while producing quality work

Qualifications

• Previous heavy equipment operating experience required, Trimble GPS experience a plus

• Experience with excavation, site development, or utility projects preferred

• Ability to read grades and construction plans is a plus

• Strong safety awareness

• Reliable attendance and transportation

• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
