Job description

Position Description: General Summary
Assist with the development and implementation of programs fostering a safe and secure environment. Responsible for the safety and security of ArtisNaples patrons, guest artists and all team members. Accountable for positive internal and external patron relations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)
Monitor activity in all buildings owned and operated by ArtisNaples.
Regularly patrol all ArtisNaples facilities and their immediate surrounding areas to guard against theft, fire, vandalism and illegal entry. Report any activity of a suspicious nature to local law enforcement authority.
Examine the properties for hazards which could cause injury; check all doors and gates to ensure proper function. Notice conditions requiring repair or replacement and forward information to the proper authority. Monitor vendors and temporary staff while they are on the premises.
Complete Workers Compensation reports as necessary; assist with accident investigations and accident reduction.
Complete Incident Reports.
Responsible for the recovery, safe-keeping and return of found property in and around the campus as well as theft investigations.
Responsible for the safe operation of vehicles leased or owned by ArtisNaples. Adhere to all motor vehicle statutes and Florida laws while in or driving the vehicle.
Examine vehicles to notice hazards which could cause injury and observe conditions requiring repair or replacement. Report to the proper authority.
Follow established organizational policies, procedures and protocol.
Must be capable of operating a fire extinguisher and Evacutrac emergency chair.
Assist during emergency situations such as evacuation, theft, accident, patron/team member injury. Provide CPR, AED and first aid as needed.
Monitor closed circuit television system and control access to all areas through the ArtisNaples access control system.
Work/communicate effectively with all ArtisNaples team members, patrons, visiting artists and their representatives and other Safety and Security Officers.
Observe safety requirements. Report safety issues and items requiring work orders to Supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Experience, Competencies and Core Values
Education/Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must successfully complete a defensive driving course which will include both a practical and written exam.
Current Class D Unarmed Security Officer License from the State of Florida is desirable.
CPR, AED and first aid certification is a plus.
Two/three years previous experience in law enforcement, security, loss prevention, or equivalent is required.
Must possess a clean, valid drivers license with at least five years of driving experience.
