Job description

Job Title: Operator

Shift: 3:45 pm to 2:15 am

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as an Operator, where you will play a crucial role in operating and maintaining heavy equipment to ensure efficient and safe production processes.

Responsibilities

  • Operate excavator to load wire shredder.
  • Perform routine maintenance on shredder, including blade changes and clean outs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
  • Attend safety meetings and promote safe behavior.
  • Meet established yard production goals, including sorting, loading, shredding, and cost per pound.
  • Maintain superior quality control of finished products.
  • Attend all scheduled corporate training and meetings.
  • Maintain all equipment, including excavators, shredders, forklifts, and bobcats.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with operating excavators and heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of construction and general labor practices.
  • Experience in heavy equipment operating (HEO) and skid steer use.
  • Familiarity with dozer, OSHA regulations, concrete handling, bobcat, and forklift operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kansas City, MO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.
