Job description

AirSea Packing Group is seeking a full-time Fine Art Quotation Specialist (USA Territory). The ideal candidate will calculate complex transportation costs, sources carrier rates, and prepare competitive pricing proposals specifically tailored for commercial art galleries. Operating in a fast-paced environment, this role bridges the gap between gallery sales teams, specialized art handlers, and international agents to ensure quotes are rapid, profitable, and compliant with US and international regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Fast-Paced Spot Quoting: Generate rapid, accurate multi-modal shipping estimates for US galleries during high-pressure sales cycles, major art fairs, and auctions.
  • Domestic & International Sourcing: Negotiate competitive rates with specialized US fine art handlers, climate-controlled domestic carriers, and secure airport tarmac escorts globally.
  • White-Glove Delivery Coordination: Price final-mile delivery services that include residential white-glove installation, unpacking, and debris removal for private collectors across major US metropolitan areas.
  • Risk & Security Pricing: Assess financial and physical security risks for high-value transshipments to correctly price armed escorts, dual-driver transport, or secure airport storage.
  • Quote Tracking & Follow-up: Monitor pending quotations, chase gallery feedback to maximize conversion rates, and record win/loss reasons to optimize future pricing strategies.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience handling logistics, pricing, or internal sales within a freight forwarding company, with at least 1 year dedicated to the fine art or high-value asset sector.
  • Knowledge of US Customs & Regulatory Expertise: Strong proficiency in US Import/Export regulations, including FDA/Fish & Wildlife (FWS) clearances for materials like ivory/mother-of-pearl, and the management of ATA Carnets or Temporary Importation under Bond (TIB) for exhibition pieces.
  • Comprehensive understanding of air freight, ocean freight, and domestic climate-controlled (TTV) road networks within the United States.
  • Ability to coordinate between gallery insurers and freight underwriters to ensure seamless, compliant high-value coverage ("nail-to-nail") is built directly into pricing models.
  • Proven track record of handling high-profile client details, high-value financial data, and anonymous buyer information with absolute privacy.
  • Excellent commercial awareness with strong numeracy skills to correctly calculate margins, currency conversions, and volume-to-weight ratios under tight deadlines.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard Transportation Management Systems (TMS).

We offer a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package including:
