Job Description

We are seeking a reliable food service worker/dishwasher to support daily food service operations within a hospital environment. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen while ensuring patients, visitors, and staff receive quality meal service.

Responsibilities

  • Wash, sanitize, and store dishes, utensils, trays, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.
  • Operate commercial dishwashing equipment following safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, dish room, food preparation areas, and storage locations.
  • Assist with meal tray assembly and food service distribution as needed.
  • Stock supplies, dishes, utensils, and food service items throughout the department.
  • Remove trash and recycling and maintain waste disposal areas.
  • Follow food safety, infection prevention, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
  • Assist cooks and food service staff with basic food preparation tasks when needed.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with patients, visitors, and team members.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety standards.
